Capital Ring Walk and Social: Section 1 Seven Miles
October 12 @ 11:00 am - 5:00 pm£6
Join us as we try to walk London’s Capital Ring through 2019 to 2020! Discover some of London’s finest scenery as we tackle the 15 easy-to-walk sections. We’ll cover 78 miles of open space, nature reserves, Sites of Specific Scientific Interest and promise you somewhere great to eat and to try some exciting AF beverages along the way. We will also have a little prize for anyone who manages to complete the full 78 miles plus a certificate courtesy of TFL.
If you would rather not walk but would like to join us at the end of walk social for eats and drinks you are most welcome and can let us know nearer the time.
The whole route is signed with white discs on a wooden post featuring a Big Ben logo and directional arrow when in the open, or large aluminium signs – featuring the walking man symbol – strapped to lamp posts and other street furniture when in the City.
We will have a competent guide plus support for each section so we shouldn’t get lost and we will always be in easy reach of public transport.
Remember that this is still England and that even though the city is just over the hill you will need waterproofs and good walking boots regardless of the season! Also if you have a heart or other medical condition you should check with your Dr before signing up. We will not have a medically trained person with us and you join us at your own risk.
When you have signed up we shall send you an email 10 days in advance of the walk with detailed info about meeting places, leaders and where we intend to have our breaks.
Meeting at 11am and aiming to be at The Falcon pub for 1.30pm then socialise till people are ready to go home.

Nearest to end: Falconwood (Rail)
There are bus stops along the way if you need to escape!

About our socials
We charge a non-refundable £6 admin fee for our events which cover the cost of setting up, coordinating and managing four platforms.
We try to create real-world opportunities for our members to meet, to bring our community closer together and to help you practice the important art of meeting new people and socialising sober.
Whether you are cutting down or going alcohol-free, these dry socials will help you develop new skills that are key to changing drinking habits – plus it’s also a great opportunity to get a little inspiration from members who are further along the journey than you.
Club Soda lunches are friendly and informal, so don’t be daunted. There is an opportunity to chat to people going beforehand in the Facebook group and if you want someone to meet you before going to the venue, just email email@example.com and we will arrange for another Club Soda member to meet you and introduce you to the group.
