Low Alcohol Summit
August 3 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm BST
As you may have seen from our last round table discussion, there will be another Government consultation on low and no alcohol descriptors coming shortly.
A lot of the discussion is about alcohol-free labelling, but there will also be implications for low alcohol brands (over 0.5% ABV). Our latest research highlights the need for more research about consumer perceptions of low alcohol drinks, and possible behaviour nudges to increase their sales. This is timely as there is a whole new wave of low alcohol spirits on the market, and we’re aware of as many as 234 low alcohol beers between 1-3% ABV on the market in the UK, produced by 151 breweries.
So Club Soda wants to bring together both the new and emerging low alcohol brands to discuss the low alcohol drinks space specifically. What are the challenges, what should our response be to the government, and what is the research needed? We are keen to agree a research brief with low alcohol dink producers, so we can bring together a consortium of organisations to fund this work.
This round table event is free for both Club Soda member brands as well as all low-alcohol producing non-member brands. We would encourage all low and no brands to join the Club Soda drink brand membership. As well as discounts on trade shows, free round tables, mentions on our social media and much more, the membership scheme helps pay for the work we do on education and lobbying in both the low and no alcohol space.
