Simon is a speaker, sobriety coach and author of the best selling The Sober Survival Guide.
We will be interviewing him about his new book How to Quit Alcohol in 50 Days – Stop Drinking & Find Freedom. which is published on 24th December.
Simon’s down to earth and direct approach to changing our relationship with alcohol is accessible, informative and uplifting, and Club Soda founder Dru Jaeger will pose your questions, and share top tips and advice on sobriety and freeing up your relationship with alcohol.
How does Quit Alcohol in 50 Days differ from Simon’s previous book? Well, 50 Days is structured as 50 short chapters that are to be read one per day. The 25 days in the first part being the initial steps to quitting, or preparation before actually giving up. The second part of another 25 days focuses on how actually to stop drinking and reach sobriety once you’re ready to do it.
The first half of the book works on shifting your mindset on drinking and creating a commitment to quit, by covering different aspects of alcohol and how we behave around it. The second half of the book has more practical advice. In addition, there are small exercises throughout the book. Simon also recommends daily journal writing as part of your journey of quitting and sobriety.
Simon includes strategies for dealing with challenges and setbacks, and a wealth of resources for finding support and inspiration. Above all, there is a genuine passion for the sober adventure, and the huge rewards of an alcohol-free life – a life of freedom that’s waiting for you.
