Queers Without Beers in Spain
June 17 - June 21£160 – £800
This summer, Queers Without Beers is heading to Spain for an exclusive LGBTQ+ alcohol-free holiday. Join Dru from Club Soda and Lauren from We Love Lucid, together with a small group of fellow mindful drinkers, for an epic booze-free adventure!
Based in the beautiful town of Ronda in Andalucia, this is a great opportunity to get away from it all – soak in the sights, eat tapas and enjoy the sun. The holiday includes:
- 4 nights bed and breakfast in your own double room
The Hotel San Francisco, in the heart of Ronda, is a traditional hotel that’s close to all the amenities and main sights. You’ll have your own private room with ensuite facilities, air conditioning, TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel has a sun terrace with seating and shade, and bikes are available to hire at reception if you want to explore the town.
- A forest walk with a log cabin feast
We’ll head to the beautiful Siera de la Nieves nature reserve for a guided walk through the forest. Passionate forestry experts Clara and JuanFra will share their in-depth knowledge about this special environment and how they work to protect it. After our relaxing and healing walk, we will sit down together for a homemade feast in a stunning log-cabin, nestled in the woods.
- A visit to see neolithic cave paintings
A rare chance to visit Cueva de la Pileta to see cave paintings dating as far back as far as 20,000 BCE. This truly surreal experience will leave you pondering how our ancestors lived and how similar to us they really were. The cave art includes some 400 cave paintings and rock engravings of both animal figures, abstract paintings and hand stencils.
- A flamenco night
Flamenco is the ultimate expression of Andalusian culture. Prepare to be mesmerized with this raw and intense performance by local flamenco dancers and musicians at our favourite spot, El Quinqué.
- An exclusive nature immersion led by Dru, exploring mindfulness, queerness and the great outdoors!
As well as being one of Club Soda’s co-founders and author of How to Be a Mindful Drinker, Dru is also a trained coach and nature connection practitioner. Come and encounter nature as you’ve never experienced it before.
- Dinner on four nights
- PLUS one-to-one time to talk about mindful drinking and you
Being a queer mindful drinker presents some unique challenges. If you’ve got questions about mindful drinking, want to clarify your intentions, need to make better plans or would just like talk about your experiences, Dru will be available for structured one-to-one sessions and informal chats throughout the holiday.
All this for just £800.
The price of the holiday includes airport transfers but does not include flights. You’ll need to arrange your own travel to and from Spain – the nearest airports are Malaga and Seville – and bring money for lunches, personal spending and treats.
Club Soda, which runs Queers Without Beers, has teamed up with We Love Lucid to organise this holiday. We Love Lucid create invigorating, alcohol-free group travel experiences.
