Writing for Self Discovery Half Day Workshop
September 15 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
- Do you enjoy getting to know yourself at a deeper level?
- Are you interested in how the process of creative writing can help you access self-truths you may have buried or hidden from yourself?
- Would you welcome the chance to work in a small, supportive group with qualified counsellors as facilitators? We are offering a half day introductory workshop in Writing for Self Discovery in an accessible venue in North West London.
You don’t need to be experienced or skilled in creative writing to take part. You just need to be open to engaging with a process as it unfolds.
The workshop will involve writing creatively in response to different prompts given by the facilitators. You will be encouraged to look at yourself and your personal narrative. Using expressive writing we will explore areas such as identity, home, relationships and place in the world. This can help develop your awareness of how writing can be used to give you new perspectives and improve your wellbeing. Everyone has a unique voice and stories to tell. We encourage creative ways to express this in a safe and friendly environment.
The course will be facilitated by qualified and BACP registered counsellors, Sarah Richings and Lucy Watt.
This workshop is a taster for a longer closed group series of workshops that you can apply to attend. Applications will open after this event.
This workshop is limited to 10 participants.
