This recipe relies on the natural tartness of grapefruit to make a cool refreshing long drink.
80ml juice from a ripe pink grapefruit
Juice of half an orange
Splash of lemon juice
100ml soda water
2 sprigs of mint, plus more to garnish
Slice of grapefruit or orange
First make the sugar syrup by heating together the water and sugar until all the sugar is dissolved and then cool back to room temperature. Then muddle the sugar syrup and mint. Then add the fruit juices and mix. Top with crushed ice and soda water then garnish with the mint and fruit slices.
