Sisters Joyce and Raissa De Haas were born and raised in the Netherlands which is known for its quality gin. They saw that there was lots of product development happening in the world of spirits, resulting in more vibrant, flavourful drinks. However, there wasn’t so much development happening in the world of mixers. They decided to create a range of mixers with surprising flavour pairings to enhance the spirits they were paired with.
They experimented with lots of different flavours and tested them on friends and family. They moved to London to complete a joint masters in Tech Entrepreneurship and were awarded the best dissertation in their year. From this, they went on to develop Double Dutch as a business.
