Doing a challenge? A hard reset? Or just need to take a break? Whatever your reason, a sober sprint or month off booze (MOB) can help you reset your relationship with alcohol. Over 500 people have taken part in this programme so far, including lots of people doing Dry July, Dryathlon, Go Sober for October, or Dry January.
A sober sprint is excellent extra help if you are planning to do a sober month for charity, and feel like you might find it difficult. The sober sprint programme will take you through your dry month, whether it’s January, October or any other time! And we will give you many tools and tips to help get the benefits of changing your drinking, long after you’ve left your month off booze behind.
But you don’t have to be raising money for charity to do a sober sprint. For many Club Soda members, taking a month off booze has been the start of changing their relationship with alcohol for the long-term.
Design by Club Soda, with expert psychologist Helen O’Connor, the sober sprint course delivers:
- Daily emails, exercises, videos and more to get you through your month off booze
- Access to the Club Soda community, where you can share your successes and challenges with others.
THE SMALL(ISH) PRINT
Is there any reason I shouldn’t do the course?
This course is not recommended for physically dependent drinkers. If you think you might be physically dependent on alcohol, you shouldn’t stop drinking suddenly or quit by yourself. Talk to your doctor or another healthcare professional for advice and help with dealing with withdrawal symptoms. This course will still be here when you’re ready to go. In the meantime, you can sign up to our email newsletter to stay in touch. Just click the subscribe button at the top or bottom of this page.
Hang on, what’s this course called?
When we first designed this programme 4 years ago, it was just for people doing Dry January, and we called it the Month Off Booze or MOB. But we quickly realised it was going to be helpful to anyone who was changing their drinking, so we renamed it the Sober Sprint. In reality, either name is a pretty good description of what the month is about. You’ll see both of these names during the month, so don’t worry: you haven’t been sent the wrong email!
When will the course start?
You can join the sober sprint course on any day. You will begin receiving the emails on the day after you make your payment (unless you pay very late in the day, then it may be the day after). If you haven’t received the first email within 48 hours, please check your spam folder first, as sometimes these messages can be mistaken for spam. If you still can’t find the email, please get in touch and we’ll look into it.
Can I change my email address?
You will receive the daily emails into the email account that you use in our online shop. But get in touch if you want to use a different email address.
While we make every effort to run our programmes as advertised, we reserve the right to change course content, dates, trainers and moderators if necessary. We also reserve the right to suspend any member who does not keep to our Club Rules and Terms and Conditions.
