Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Lyre’s Agave Blanco Spirit

Lyre’s produce an extensive range of alcohol-free spirits, and they’re releasing a new one, say hello to Lyre’s Agave Blanco Spirit. This delicious new tequila-style spirit has a complex flavour profile, with notes of citrus, peppers, pine, spices, and oak.

To celebrate the launch, the Lyre’s team is hitting the road and taking their non-alcoholic Margarita truck on tour around the UK. Starting on Thursday 5th May 2022, Lyre’s will host an open-invite launch party in London’s Spitalfields Market in Shoreditch. You can visit the truck on Brushfield Street to grab a free, non-alcoholic Lyre’s Margarita, made using Lyre’s Agave Blanco Spirit, Lyre’s Orange Sec, lime juice, syrup, and of course a hit of salt. 

There will even be a live DJ set from legandary DJ Fat Tony from 6pm to 8pm, so be sure to shimmy on down. DJ Tony recently celebrated 15 years of sobriety, and is a huge fan of Lyre’s spirits, desribing them as ‘a complete game changer’. We couldn’t agree more.

After the launch party on May 5^th, the Lyre’s Margarita truck will visit various London locations over another three days, before continuing on for the rest of its 10-day UK tour in Brighton (12th May), Bristol (13th May) and finishing up in Manchester (14th & 15th May)

Visitors to the Margarita truck will receive a free non-alcoholic margarita as well as a voucher for a special offer on Lyre’s to redeem at a local bar so you can continue your Cinco de Mayo celebrations with Lyre’s even once the roadshow has left town.

Lyre’s will host a finale fiesta on Sunday 15th May on Manchester’s King Street (M2 4LY) to mark the end of the UK tour. Visit the truck throughout the day from 10.30am to enjoy a Lyre’s alcohol-free Margarita, and bring your dancing feet for a live performance from Manchester’s very own DJ Paulette, who will be hitting the decks from 15.00 – 17.00.

Margerita Recipe with Lyre’s Agave Blanco Spirit

You’ll need:

1.5 parts (45ml/1.5 Fl Oz) Lyre’s Agave Blanco Spirit

0.5 parts (15ml/0.5 Fl Oz) Lyre’s Orange Sec

0.25 parts (7.5ml/0.25 Fl Oz) White Suga Syrup (1:1)

1 part (30ml/1 Fl Oz) Lime Juice

Dash orange bitters (optional)

Cocktail shaker

Margerita Glass

Ice

Lime Wedge

Salt

Method:

Combine ingredients and shake briefly witth ice. Strain into a margarita glass. If you want to salt-rim your glass, pour salt into a shallow dish or onto a plate. Wipe the rim of your glass with a wedge of lime, and roll the edge of the glass in the salt. Set the glass in the freezer ahead of mixing your margerita. You can garnish with a wedge of lime.
