Say farewell to single-use wrapping papers and embrace the sustainable tradition of Furoshiki. Whether you’re preparing gifts for a special celebration, an upcoming party, or just looking to add an artistic touch to your home, Furoshiki wrapping is the perfect skill in your repertoire. Learn to wrap bottles with beautiful fabric, present your gifts elegantly, and contribute to a greener planet with every wrap.

Our skilled Furoshiki expert, Kyle Whittington,  will guide you through a number of wrapping techniques, ensuring you leave the workshop with newfound skills and inspiration. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned gift-wrapper, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Each person will also receive a free small Furoshiki Wrap to take away to wrap your next gift. 

During the workshop, enjoy alcohol-free drinks provided by Club Soda.

What to expect:

Each session is 1.5 hours

  • Learn to wrap bottles and small items like books in a number of different ways.
  • You will have two celebratory alcohol-free drinks per person. 
  • Everyone receives a complimentary Furoshiki wrap in one of 4 unique Club Soda Designs.
  • Time to mingle with colleagues and drink your  spritz during the session
  • Take pictures of your creations for Instagram and your staff intranet.

Prices

In our Covent Garden store: from £270 for up to 6 people then £45 per person thereafter up to a maximum of 30 people.

In your London office: from £500 for up to 10 people and then £50 a head thereafter.  

Outside of London*: from £700 for up to 10 people a head, then £50 a head thereafter plus travel, ice and glass hire.

Kyle Whittington your Furoshiki expert

 

Kyle is an expert in tea and Japanese textiles. In particular, shifuku, the bespoke pouches used to hold teawares such as the tea caddy or tea bowl in the Japanese Tea Ceremony. 

In 2019 he set up his studio, producing stock pieces for his Etsy shop and commissions for tea people around the world. He is currently working on his first exhibition opening December 2023.

Shifuku sits at the core of his practice, but he makes all and any fabric goods associated with the Japanese Tea Ceremony and is always open to creating something new. From researching, learning and creating a specific item or experimenting to create something unique for a client. In this case, working with us on the Club Soda Furoshiki creations and wrapping.
