We are looking for dynamic staff for our flagship Tasting Room in London’s Covent Garden. If you are passionate about drinks, excited about the possibilities in the alcohol-free sector and able to share your enthusiasm for low and no alcohol drinking.

The ideal candidates will have retail, hospitality or drink industry background, perhaps with experience in a bar or food and drink retail setting. In addition, you should be a confident communicator who enjoys talking to customers and staff about wine, cocktails, beer and other non-alcoholic or low-alcoholic drinks.

With over 50% of the UK adult population now actively moderating their alcohol consumption, Club Soda has curated a groundbreaking diverse and premium selection of no and low alcohol drinks. Our customers are looking for exciting drink alternatives, and you will be their guide. You will be sharing and selling products to an engaged and enthusiastic audience.

Full product training will be provided and regularly updated as drinks tastings will be an integral element of the role. You will help customers discover new drinks they love while gathering important feedback for the brands we list in the Tasting Rooms.

You will be part of a small team fully supported by Club Soda, our experienced Tasting Room Manager and a pool of drinks industry experts. We aim to make this store a place of discovery and fun for our customers, brands, and team.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in the Tasting Room alongside the rest of the team
• Ensure customers get an outstanding customer experience at all times
• Drive sales through customer engagement, tastings, your recommendations and telling the stories of the brands we carry
• Serve drinks and make cocktails at the Tasting Room bar
• Prioritise and be efficient so you can spend more time helping customers find drinks they love
• Maintain outstanding store condition, stock levels and display standards
• Ensure health and safety and other necessary compliances are met
• Share product knowledge with customers and with the store’s team members
• Ensure items are on the shelves and displayed attractively, and priced accurately
• Follow opening and closing store procedures as necessary
• Assist at on-site and off-site events or workshops

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Work in a busy customer-facing environment within retail, hospitality or a similar industry
• A desire to increase your knowledge of low and no alcohol drinks
• Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills
• Able to work under pressure
• A strong customer focus and excellent communication skills
• Experience working with wine, cocktails or beer (desirable)

Full-time and part-time roles are available. We are open 7 days for 12 noon-8pm (6pm Sunday). A full-time contract means working 5 days with some evening and weekend shifts on rotation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: up to £13.15 per hour depending on age.
