Bemuse began as a buzz of an idea in 2020 by friends Anna Chalov and Nataliya Peretrutova, who wanted to create a new drinking experience: something meaningful and unique that stood out from the explosion of low-alcohol beers, wines and ciders. Having tried existing meads, they were inspired to see if they could do things differently.
Mead has an intriguing history and the potential for reinvention as an exciting, complex and healthy alcohol-free drink. Since its launch in 2021, Bemuse has won awards for innovation and taste. They are also committed to raising awareness about protecting the bee population and are involved in different projects, like sponsoring a beehive in Wales.
