De Halve Maan (“the Half Moon”) brewery in Bruges was the first Belgian brewery to launch a non-alcoholic speciality beer: Sportzot. The base for this beer is their flagship Brugse Zot Blond. The alcohol is filtered out to 0.4% ABV by using a natural process which does not affect the taste of the beer.
Brugse SportZot is a blonde beer, bright, clear and sparkly golden colour, with a balanced taste featuring notes of malt and hop, and a delicate bitter aftertaste.

De Halve Maan brewery’s story goes back six generations. The Brugse Zot speciality beer was laucnhed in 2005, and comes in several varieties, including the alcohol-free SportZot.
