Mahala Botanical Amber dark spirit is full of fragrant chilli, smoke, and oak with subtle floral notes of the Honey Bush coming through from the indigenous South African Fynbos.

Serving suggestion: Serve 50ml over ice with 150ml tonic water. Garnish with lemon zest and rosemary. Pair with spicy food or grilled BBQ.
Created and co-founded by respected Master Distiller Danielle Schoeman using a unique triple-distillation process in her custom-built vacuum stills, Mahala Botanical Amber, is made using hand-sourced botanicals as well as the addition of Chilies, which, together with smoke and oak make this product ideal for mixing with ginger ale. Some of the botanicals used are indigenous to South Africa and foraged from Danielle’s own family farm.
The original idea for Mahala Botanical came about during a ban on alcohol sales in South Africa during Covid when Danielle had to ‘pivot’ her distillery to produce alcohol-free spirits only. Amber is the second product in the range and compliments the original Mahala Botanical Classic.
