Oddbird’s quality wines are made with traditional methods and matured for up to 12 months, then gently liberated from alcohol in order to preserve the flavours nature intended. For Oddbird, being liberated from alcohol does not only describe the removal of the substance, it also describes the liberation from our drinking culture. They are the largest producer of alcohol-free wines in Scandinavia.
Moa Gürbüzer is a former family social worker with over two decades of experience, mainly working with alcohol-related family issues. She has seen first-hand the detrimental effects that alcohol can have on society. She was shocked by just how recurrent some of the issues were and felt that there needed to be a structural change. She quit her job and started Oddbird in 2013. Her vision was to question and change the alcohol norms of society by creating world-class wines that are liberated from alcohol.
